About The Keep Going Songs

After selling out last season’s Next@LCT3 concert series, Abigail and Shaun Bengson return to the Claire Tow Theater with the world premiere of THE KEEP GOING SONGS. Telling stories through song, The Bengsons will celebrate the beauty and complexity of life cycles, from a single person to entire ecosystems. Part concert, part wake, part theatrical extravaganza, THE KEEP GOING SONGS is a euphoric and moving journey through the grief of tough times and the rebirth of hope in better days.

Clever, Offbeat, Charming performers

See it if you're looking for a live folk music concert delivered by a charismatic & talented couple, singing about life, death and dealing with grief.

Don’t see it if you're expecting a play, or not in the mood for a quirky performance filled with somewhat repetitive music that's about five songs too long.

Humane, Refreshing, Quirky, Great singing, Delightful

See it if Artisanal, well-composed folk concert for theater ppl that’s not utter fluff. Less structured than a play, stronger themes than a set list.

Don’t see it if looking for a spunky, sassy, blossomy springtime of youth kind of show. Uplifting, but doesn’t underestimate or pigeonhole death & demise.

Hip, Holy, Heavy, Heartfelt, Heart-wrenching

See it if You want to feel something you weren't expecting. Emotional ups and downs that overtake you if you remain open to the message and medium.

Don’t see it if You aren't willing to open the cracks in your heart and soul and let the light in...plunges very deep into the grief process.

Great music, Resonant, Touching, Funny, Great singing

See it if You enjoy The Bengsons’ style of experimental folk/indie rock that tells a larger story.

Don’t see it if You’re uninterested in songs/stories about grief & death. This is handled with aplomb & humor, but you need to be emotionally open to it.
