This program explores long-form writing for the jazz orchestra including Chico O’Farrill’s “Afro Cuban Suite No. 2,” one of his greatest works, which we are thrilled to present in context of works by other composers including Ralph Burns, Duke Ellington, and Gerry Mulligan.
